Mute Records


Mute records was founded in 1978 by Daniel Miller in the United Kingdom. Their parent company is now a company called EMI founded in 2002. Mute records is based in London UK.The label was formed initially just to release the one single,"T.V.O.D."/"Warm Leatherette".The company is also affiliated with The Universal Music Group and BMG Rights Management. In the past Mute records have published such artists as Depeche Mode, Goldfrapp, Grinderman and Yazoo.

 
Warner Bros. Records
 
Warner Bros. Records was founded in 1958 by Jack Warner. Warner Bros. Records is the third most biggest recording label of four different major recording labels. The band that was under this recording label was Muse. They produced one album out of this recording label. In 1999 Warner Bros. also had a deal with childrens channels.
 
 
 
EMI
 
EMI is a large company which signs its own recording artists but also own few smaller companies like Mute records that do a lot of signing on their own and they gain the artists as well if they want to sign them under their own label. They established themselves in 1931 and have bough few recording labels since then.
